Discover Davos

Alpine Davos is located in the east of Switzerland in the canton of Graubünden.
Situated at 1560 m above sea level, it is the highest city in Europe and also the largest alpine mountain holiday and congress destination in Switzerland.
Davos hosts the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Whether you are looking for adventure or peace and quiet:
Davos offers it all!

Blue skies, staggering mountaintops and lush green meadows were made for long walks and hikes, and with 700 kilometres of hiking and walking trails, Davos offers something for every hiking level.

There are cable cars and mountain railways to take you up to the Weissfluhjoch  and to the Rinerhorn. Or enjoy a comfortable horse-drawn carriage ride to the Ducan waterfall in the Sertig Valley. Other attractions include a nostalgic train ride to Filisur, a visit to the Monsteiner brewery or a peaceful stroll around lake Davos.

But Davos has a lot more in store: spend a leisurely time with shopping, wellness, culinary delights or cultural experiences such as a visit to the Kirchner Museum, which showcases the work of the famous German Expressionist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, as well as modernist and contemporary artists.

Special attractions

The tiny Schatzalpbahn takes you directly to the legendary Hotel Schatzalp. The Art Nouveau building with its wonderful sun terrace inspired Thomas Mann to write his novel “The Magic Mountain”. More recently, it featured prominently in “Davos 1917”, a prize-winning spy thriller series, which was inspired by true events around World War I. To take your mind off serous matters, relax in the alpine garden, in the sauna or on the squirrel trail. There is an adrenaline kick to have on the summer sled run.

Davos Premium Card

The Davos Premium Card, which is included in every guest booking –  be it hotel, holiday apartment or group accommodation –  offers numerous discounts on more than 60 leisure activities.
